Short GNU History and a Gnew GNU Site Launch
Gnu was founded in the early 80’s by Mike Olson who has been building snowboards since 1977. Mike pioneered deep carving sidecuts and too many other neato things.
Today Mike and Pete still head up Gnu, Tim Karpinski art directs, Barrett Christy super ripper heads up our women’s program, Banked Slalom Champ Paul Ferrel runs the Backdoor binding program, Zach Leach is our Team/mkt dude, Temple Cummins is our accessible freeride Billy Goater, Danny rips and makes TV shows, Forest is pressing everything and Kaitlyn got really good, Cody is killing it, Ryan Hollis adds intelligence. Of course every Gnu attack banana is handbuilt by the snowboarders with jobs at Mervin Manufacturing in Washington State just like they were in the beginning…now even weirder!
Please visit the 2010 – 2011 GNU site, to view the latest GNU Snowboards, Bindings, Softgoods, Team and Glog.
Our Webmonkey worked with pal Ross Peterson, to reprogram the site to work better on your favorite mobile web browsing devices.
Factory visits are not encouraged. Beware of killer cat!
